Yubi
YUBI was born as an initiative to create a user friendly digital directory of local stores, restaurants and services. The core concept was to develop a platform that would let entrepreneurs, and encourage them, to register their businesses and services, with the goal of implementing an intelligent chatbot able to answer everyday questions from local users, like recommendations for weekend activities or family plans, based on the information from the registered businesses.
Role and contribution
I collaborated directly with the client in the product discovery process, focusing mainly on translating the initial vision into tangible prototypes that could be validated with potential users. This approach let us iterate quickly on the ideas and refine the value proposition. The design process required a balance between creating an attractive experience for the entrepreneurs who would register their businesses and making sure the information was structured in a way the chatbot could actually use.
I worked in Figma, keeping constant communication with the client, the tech lead and the development team, to make sure the designs were technically viable and aligned with the project goals.
Results
The whole product was developed, from its design system all the way to an unofficial launch and publication, so the work was fully carried out even though the project did not reach an official public release and was later put on hold.
