Exeboard
Exeboard was at an important moment of technological transition. The company had an MVP of its Board Portal Software, but the limitations of the technologies it used made it necessary to create a new, more scalable and modern version. That new version was in the middle of being defined, and although it was already 50% designed, it still required substantial work of consolidation and definition of concepts.
Role and contribution
I joined the team to collaborate on the definition and design of the core modules of the application. The work involved doing user research, rethinking preconceptions from the previous version and defining user stories. In close collaboration with the development team, we focused on consolidating the existing product concepts and completing the definitions of features that were still pending. I used Figma as my main tool to materialize the design solutions and make collaboration with the development team easier.
Beyond the core modules, I also designed the authentication flows on top of the FusionAuth SDK, which meant understanding how things like passkeys and biometric authentication work so the experience would still feel usable for a normal person. I maintain and expand the design system we use for every feature we ship, based on the brand guideline. Something worth mentioning about this product is that it works in a regulated space, since corporate governance for boards in Latin America carries real compliance and auditability requirements, and that shapes many of the design decisions.
Results
The work gave the new version a clearer structure, which made development more efficient and more aligned with what users needed. The part of this work I am proudest of is the mobile version. I designed the UX and UI for the progressive web app version of the platform for iOS and Android, taking the web product and turning it into something that actually feels good to use on a phone, and we wrapped that PWA in React Native to publish it. Getting the mobile experience right was the key to getting both app stores, and Apple in particular, to approve the publication. On the business side, the confidence the company has in the platform's scalability and feature set is what is enabling its expansion plan into Mexico and El Salvador for 2026.
